Sven Ffolkes is enjoying retirement with Mary in his beloved Boatman’s Cottage when he receives a call from his friend Darren, now Lord, Anders who is the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cornwall and Islands, asking him to help out on the investigation of the murder of DFS, the owner of a luxury car dealership in London. DFS had been attending a reunion of Truro University alumni who stayed at Jasper Hall during their undergraduate days. He was with long term friends, stockbroker Richard, IT company owner Alan and famous Arsenal first team footballer Clyde. Ten years on from their graduation they decide to add an extra celebration at an isolated country house in Cornwall, along with four high class escort girls, all arranged by Nigel, the son of the Hall porter and well known Mr Fixit. Even before he begins investigating, Sven runs into a secret operation managed by his old friend, Hannah Chapman, who is using a Vampire team in an attempt to discover what Ampodenite is. Sven learns about sexual bingo as he uncovers a connection to the murder of a priest, ten years ago, which links his suspects with two young women who studied at Truro at the same time as the victim did. The young women were under the care of the murdered priest and rented a room in his rectory. Sven’s investigations centre on an unidentified attendee at the country house who was not invited but left fingerprints that are not on the criminal database.
